WomenInTech

"Hello Sir, Good Morning! How may I assist you?" A refined feminine voice greeting a man on the counter lit up the air of the tedious office environment. I was sitting in the lobby of  a famous IT company, waiting for my turn for a job interview. I was eavesdropping on the conversation happening on my left side of the entrance. The man, standing there with her female colleague was arguing over the petty matter which according to him "Cannot be tackled by naivete of her." On the other hand, that woman was determined to convince him of her capabilities. The male's attitude towards her female colleague made me wonder, why was he so unsure of the competence of her female colleague? Maybe his bad working experience or the female related constructs imposed by the society was making him question the abilities of his female colleague. The world is evolving in every right way but still, there are plenty of such remarks which are insensitively thrown at women in every fie...

Its all gonna be okay!

Imagine the content of your character appeared on your skin and that would be your complexion. Imagine you wake up one day and your complexion suddenly changes. Imagine every sin you do, make your skin one tone darker. And now imagine this all is happening to you and you don’t even realize. How do we define beauty? Maybe the color of your skin defines beauty. Living in a society where a healthy girl cannot walk on the ramp and a tan girl cannot play the role of heroine. What are we? judging someone by their appearance and showing our character. In a country like Pakistan where literacy rate 60% but people judge you by the language you speak i.e. English. Is English the parameter to judge someone’s intelligence. People are being judged by two things: their complexion and English. How strange is it that western who always used to judge people by their complexion now spend hours baking themselves in front of the sun to get the best color or repeatedly spray themselves with chemicals to ge...

Sacrifice ourselves to live for others

Throughout life we sacrifice something to achieve something better. When we open our eyes and start understanding the world we see sacrifices everywhere. Our parents are the best living examples of sacrifice. Father’s sacrifice for their children to give them a better future. Fathers sacrifice their own health, working day and night for their family. Sometimes skips the food to feed his children. Mothers sacrifice their sleep to comfort their children. We all make little sacrifices for our own happiness. Islam teaches us sacrifice. Eid-ul-Azha is one of  the greatest examples of solidarity in our faith. Hazrat Ibrahim was willing to sacrifice his own son Hazrat Ismail in the name of Allah. https://darussalamblog.com/the-greatest-example-of-sacrifice-eid-al-adha/ Every year Muslims celebrate this festival. The slaughtered meat is mostly distributed among others. This act portrays the biggest example of how we sacrifice our wealth in the name of Allah. https://www.ukessays.com/essays...

Stand with Kashmir

Health wishes to those who are injured and may Allah grant Jannah to martyrs of Kashmir. The question arises, is Pakistan going to lose Kashmir forever or is it the beginning of the end of Kashmir conflict? As we all know that Kashmir is under attack by Indian troops. Unarmed civilians are killed by bombarding. No leniency is showed. Kashmir is not their property but they are trying to make it. The Modhi government is playing the game of chess. The Indian opposition is not so supporting the government because they said that if the Kashmiri fought back with the help of Pakistan then Kashmir will not be a part of Indian but India could be a part of it. The Pakistani army is preparing to give them a tough time. PM said that there are two ways to face the situation. One is to play like Tipu Sultan and the other is to raise white flags like Bahadur Shah Zafar. And we for sure will stand with Kashmir. It is not the matter of land but the history is repeating itself. We must stand for t...

Pakistani dramas influence on society.

Those days are gone when families used to sit together and watch television. Is  that true modernization has changed the norms and values in Pakistani society or is it the right time to show all that onscreen?  Well if we talk about our film and drama society then these both are playing equal roles. They both have positive as well as negative aspects. Starting with our drama industry. Comparatively Pakistani dramas are far better than Pakistani films which are being broadcast nowadays. How? Let me tell you then Pakistani dramas have script, acting and talent. Yes you heard me right our script is something we should definitely appreciate. Our writers are doing a great job. So many dramas are famous worldwide for not only their acting skills but the script. Dramas like “Cheekh '' have shown us why it is necessary to raise our voice.  Dramas like “Dar si jati hai sila”  showed that girls don’t only get bullied in institutes but some girls face that problem at home. Dram...

Ukhano case: Is he being defamed?

A lot of girls came forward against Ukhano for him being a harasser but they blurred out their names. There arises a question, is Ukhano a womanizer or he is being trapped by a group of haters? Screenshots were showed publically and a huge mass of audience is moving away from him. The proves and screenshots can be viewed from https://2rspeople.com/ukhano-case-is-he-a-womanizer/ The main thing worth discussing in this case is that is this a legal way to response to a harasser? People started seeing him as a culprit and as said by him, his own friends started avoiding him and his career is on the verge of chaos. He took the legal way to prove his innocence by reporting his case to FIA. Further he said that all these efforts are made to defame him and he also confirmed that some of the screenshots of two way chats are real and others are fake. He mentioned that defaming the dignity of a man is a crime and he is going to file a case against those who has done that to him. A l...

Mohsin Abbas Needs help!

“The believers who show the most perfect faith are those who have the best behavior, and the best of you are those who are best to their wives”. (Riyadh as-Salihin Book 1, Hadith 278) July 21, 2019  was surely a dark day.  In the 21st century where women are said that they are equal to men but here the question arises are they really? It was Sunday I woke up late and when I checked my social media accounts all over there was only one topic being discussed and that was Fatima Sohail who was brutally abused by her husband Mohsin Abbas. All the celebrities condemned,  declaring Mohsin Abbas an asshole and all. All the talk shows had only one topic to discuss and that was Fatima. Fatima’s allegations were not only just words but proved. Now here are some points I want to discuss. According to Fatima she was facing all this from the last 3 years and she didn’t say a word. Now people think that those allegations are nothing but a stunt to get famous. So here is how I’m gonna pu...
